Kathleen Passanisi
A Seat at the Buffet
"Don't rock the boat." "Be the best." "If you don't like it, lump it." Oh yeah? Says who?
We were taught to play by the rules, but whose rules? Where do they come from? Why haven't we challenged them? It's time we did, because they wear us down, dampen our enthusiasm, and deplete our energy. We've gotten so far off the track, we've forgotten how to enjoy ourselves.
It's time to do away with false assumptions, worthless expressions, and robotic behaviors that limit our joy and keep us from success on our own terms. Life will be richer and a lot more fun when you have the guts to pull up a chair—and take a seat at the buffet!
You Will Learn To:
- Understand the importance of pleasure to your health and quality of life
- Identify what you really want to change, but haven't
- Examine the unwritten rules, assumptions and expressions that are holding you back
- Rewrite the inappropriate rules that govern your behavior
- Define the best possible outcome of playing by your own rules
- Incorporate "Pollyanna Power" into your thinking
- Influence others to take a seat at the buffet
Client comments:
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Selecting you made me look like a genius! Everyone was singing praises about your presentation, "A Seat at the Buffet." One remark best sums up how our group responded—Kathy Passanisi was just perfect. She had us laughing and really thinking about those "rules" of our lives. Her message will stay with me for a long time. Another suggested we make you our permanent keynote speaker!
Your message was as important as it was entertaining. I am especially grateful that you took such care to know your audience so well. I hope we will have many more opportunities to work together."
